JFK Memorial Wildlife Sanctuary Permit

The John F. Kennedy Memorial Wildlife Sanctuary, a 550-acre stretch of protected wetlands, is considered to be one of the most important refuges for waterfowl in the northeast. Visitors must acquire a permit prior to entry (free for Town of Oyster Bay Residents or $50 processing fee for Non-Residents). From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the sanctuary will not open until 6PM. Permits expire at the end of the year, applicants must reapply annually. Permits will be mailed once processed, please allow 5 to 10 business days for your physical permit(s) to arrive in the mail. Parking pass must be displayed on dashboards while parking in Town lots.
