Summer Recreation Program
In its 59th season, this highly coveted youth summer camp is open to children ages 4-12 for six weeks and is hosted at one of our six award-winning community parks. Now featuring full day options so parents can choose the program that best fits their child’s needs. Our full day programs are offered at three locations: Syosset-Woodbury Community Park, Marjorie R. Post Community Park, and Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Park. Our full day programs include all of our coveted special activities and optional day trips as well as new hours, swimming, and supervised lunch.

The 2024 Summer Recreation enrollment will be held exclusively online. PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Enrollment is only open to children that were approved during pre-registration.

Marjorie R. Post Community Park, Massapequa - Opens April 29, 2024 at 6PM

NY State Sanitary Code Subpart 7-2 requires camp operators to provide parents with any enrollment application forms the rights and responsibilities of camp operators: 1) To inform you and the local health department if your child is involved in any serious injury, illness or abuse incident 2) To screen the background and qualifications of all staff 3) To train staff about their duties 4) To provide supervision during hours of operation for day camps 5) To maintain all camp physical facilities in a safe and sanitary condition 6) To provide safe and wholesome meals 7) To have and follow required written plans for camp safety, health and fire safety. The Summer Recreation Program is permitted to operate by the Nassau County Department of Health, who is required to inspect our camp twice a year - the inspection reports are filed at 200 County Seat Drive, Mineola, NY 11501

RAIN POLICY:
If raining prior to the start of camp day, camp will be cancelled for the AM session. Weather permitting, camp will resume for the afternoon pending notification by email, social media post, and text message if you've opted in via www.oysterbaytown.com/parksportal with your email on file.

REFUND POLICY:
Refunds will be given at a 10% administrative fee up until Friday, July 12th, 2024.
